EDucate!

EDucate! is Pakistan's first quarterly magazine on education and development, and has been initiated by the SEF to advocate its core aim of "empowering communities for social change". The belief of social change has stemmed from empirical evidence of the absence of a thought-provoking environment, resulting in a top-down, outcome and statistics-oriented educational system. This system continues to stifle the creativity and expression of the general populace.

In the series published since its commencement, EDucate! has been able to pool together a nationally and internationally respected group of development experts, intellectuals and practitioners to expound on the prevalent practices in the world of development which have led to regression of entire countries. Writers have also initiated dialogues to provide guidance for collective efforts to improve the moral and ethical values of society.

Sujaag – A Community Magazine

Community Magazine 'Sujaag' (Awakening) is a recent and pioneering initiative of SEF which is envisioned as a medium for providing strong educational outreach to grassroots communities as well as facilitating free exchange of local ideas and information. The magazine carries information for enhancing the communities' knowledge base about education and development issues, challenges and best practices; as well as provides a platform to communities to voice their opinions, views and concerns regarding the education process. It is published in Sindhi language and shared with SEF partner school communities across the Sindh province.
